Description

Helmet Sallet was popular head protection starting the middle of the XV century in Europe.

Italian models of Sallet were open-faced and sometimes covered with velvet.

German soldiers were wearing Sallet with bevor (plate gorget) for face and neck protection. Another distinctive feature of German Sallet was long segmented tail, consisted of few lames.

The presented model was preferably worn by archers in the 1430-1480 years.

This made-to-measure Middle Ages helmet is completely handcrafted by our artisans.
