Please carefully read the following Terms and Conditions (hereinafter – T&C) before ordering on steel-mastery.com. By accessing and using this Site, you agree to follow these T&C. These T&C may be updated; information regarding updates will be shown at the bottom of this page.

General information

1. These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter – T&C) apply to every order placed and every agreement reached through the following official channels:

2. For the purposes of these T&C, all orders and agreements placed through the above channels shall be collectively referred to as “orders or agreements reached through steel-mastery.com.”
3. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these T&C.

Placing an order

1. The products displayed on steel-mastery.com form a non-binding online catalogue. They do not constitute a legally binding offer.
2. When you place an order on steel-mastery.com, you will be asked to confirm it at the final step of the ordering process. By confirming, you submit a request for the selected products. This request is non-binding until further steps are completed.
3. After placing your order, you will receive an email confirmation sent to the address provided during checkout. This confirmation only acknowledges receipt of your order.
4. The order confirmation does not constitute a contract of sale. It serves solely as notification that your order has been received.
5. A binding contract of sale is established only once:

• full payment has been successfully received, and
• Steel Mastery has confirmed the feasibility of producing your order.

6. If payment is unsuccessful, the order will be automatically cancelled, and no contract of sale will be formed.
7. Steel Mastery accepts orders worldwide, except from Russia.

Products

1. Steel Mastery offers two categories of products:

• Stock items – ready-made products available for immediate purchase.
• Custom-made items – products manufactured individually according to the customer’s measurements, specifications, or personalization requests. This includes all clothing, armor, and accessories produced to order, unless explicitly marked as “stock item” on steel-mastery.com.

2. Different rules apply to each category of products, including ordering, returns, refunds, and exchanges. These rules are clearly outlined in the relevant sections of these Terms and Conditions.

Prices

1. All prices displayed on steel-mastery.com are listed in Euros (EUR).
2. Prices shown on steel-mastery.com do not include VAT, import duties, or any other applicable local taxes. These charges, if applicable, are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid upon receipt of the order.
3. Steel Mastery reserves the right to cancel any order if a price was incorrectly displayed due to technical errors. In such cases, the customer will be notified, and any payments already made will be refunded in full.

Payment

1. You can pay for your order using the following methods: PayPal, Credit Card (via PayPal) or Bank Transfer.
2. PayPal payments are available directly on our website.
3. Credit Card payments are processed through PayPal. Steel Mastery does not receive, store, or have access to your credit card number or any of your banking information.
4. If you wish to pay by Bank Transfer, please contact us at [email protected]. We will provide all necessary details. All bank fees must be covered by the customer.
5. Installment payment options for individual customers are available through our website, as well as for orders arranged directly with Steel Mastery via email. Please contact us for available payment options and conditions. More information here.
6. Installment payments for clubs are also available under special terms (“Get now – Pay later”). More information here.

Shipping

1. By default, all orders are shipped via Ukrainian National Post or Nova Poshta, at the sole discretion of Steel Mastery.
2. Other international courier services (such as DHL, etc.) may be used only upon explicit request by email to [email protected]. Please note that these services are significantly more expensive. If you require shipment via another courier, conditions and pricing will be discussed individually.
3. Shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout and depend on your shipping address, the weight, and the size of your order.
4. If a shipping cost was incorrectly calculated due to technical issues, Steel Mastery reserves the right to request the additional payment. If you decline, your order will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued.
5. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation email including tracking details.
6. Estimated delivery times:

• Within Europe: 5–14 business days from the date of shipment.
• Outside Europe: 5–28 business days from the date of shipment.

7. These delivery times are indicative, not guaranteed. Delays beyond the stated timeframe do not entitle the customer to compensation, cancellation, or revocation of the contract. Steel Mastery is not responsible for postal service delivery terms.
8. Customs authorities may open parcels for inspection. Steel Mastery cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs. Import duties, VAT, and local taxes are not included in product prices or shipping charges and may be levied by customs in your country. For precise information, please contact your local customs office directly. Steel Mastery does not provide customs or tax consultation services.
9. No claims will be accepted in cases of:

• incorrect shipping address,
• absence of the recipient at the stated address, unclaimed parcels.

In such cases, the order may be resent at the customer’s expense.

10. If your parcel is lost, Steel Mastery will submit an official search request. The investigation may take 2–3 months. If the parcel is officially declared lost, we will produce a new item and ship it free of charge. If you do not wish to receive a replacement, you may request a 30% refund of the item price (shipping costs are non-refundable).
11. If customs in the customer’s country hold the parcel, the customer is responsible for contacting customs directly to obtain information and provide any required documentation. If an invoice is needed, Steel Mastery will supply it by email. Steel Mastery cannot contact foreign customs authorities on behalf of the customer.
12. Prior to shipment, Steel Mastery will send the customer photos of the finished product for approval. Shipment will take place only after the customer confirms the product. Once confirmation is received, the order will be dispatched within 2 weeks. Please note that due to unpredictable circumstances related to the ongoing war in Ukraine, production and shipping schedules may occasionally be subject to delays. In such cases, Steel Mastery will inform the customer as soon as possible.

Returns

1. Stock items: If you ordered a stock item, received it in normal condition, and decide to return it, you may do so within 14 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are covered by the customer. A refund will be issued for the item price only (shipping costs are non-refundable).
2. Custom-made items: Generally not eligible for return, since they are produced individually according to your measurements and specifications. Exceptions apply in cases of manufacturing defects or proven measurement errors. In such cases, Steel Mastery will remake the item or issue a refund, and postage expenses will be covered.
3. Manufacturing defects: If you receive a stock or custom-made item with a manufacturing defect, Steel Mastery will cover the return shipping costs and provide a replacement item free of charge.
4. Custom-made items that do not fit: If a custom-made item does not fit, you must provide proof of accurate measurements (photos with a tape measure attached). If the mistake is on our side, we will either remake the item or issue a refund. The misfit product must be returned, and Steel Mastery will cover the postage expenses.
5. Refund process: Refunds will be processed only after the returned item is received and inspected. Items that have been used or damaged by the customer are not eligible for a refund.
6. Return shipping method: Please use standard postal services for returns (not express couriers). Otherwise, Steel Mastery will not be able to refund the shipping costs.
7. Transport damage: If you receive an item that was evidently damaged during transportation, you must immediately file a claim with the postal service that delivered the parcel.

Refunds

1. Orders not yet shipped: You may request a full refund within 14 days after placing your order, provided the order has not been shipped.
2. Orders before manufacturing starts: If you request a refund after 14 days but before manufacturing begins, you are entitled to an 80% refund of the order total.
3. Orders in manufacturing: If your order is already in production, you may request a refund of 50% of the order total.
4. Orders manufactured but not shipped: If your order has already been manufactured but not yet shipped, you may request a refund of 30% of the order total.
5. Refunds after 180 days: PayPal allows refunds only within 180 days of payment. If you request a refund after this period, Steel Mastery will send the amount directly to your PayPal account. In this case, PayPal will not return the fee we originally paid, so the refunded amount will be reduced by that fee. Additionally, PayPal may charge you a receiving fee when the money is credited to your account.
6. Orders shipped and returned: If your parcel has already been shipped and is returned to us by the postal service (because you decided you no longer want the order, or you did not provide the required customs information and the parcel was sent back), you may request a refund of 30% of the item price. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Exchanges

1. Stock items: If you wish to exchange a stock item, this is possible. However, you will be responsible for covering all shipping costs as well as any price difference between the items.
2. Custom-made items: Custom-made items, produced according to your measurements and personal specifications, cannot be exchanged if they fit correctly and match the agreed requirements.

Disclaimer of liability

Fencing, medieval reenactment, and other related activities involve an inherent risk of injury. Steel Mastery accepts no liability for injuries to yourself or third parties, nor for any material or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products. We strongly advise that all activities involving armor, weapons, or their components be carried out under the supervision of a qualified and accredited person. This supervisor must ensure that the equipment complies with the standards of the specific event and that all safety requirements are met.

Privacy policy 

Steel Mastery takes great care to ensure that all personal information collected from you is handled appropriately and in full compliance with applicable data protection regulations. We guarantee that your personal information will never be sold to any third party.
Information we collect:

• Your name and email address (as provided by you).
• Your order details (as provided in the order form).
• Your phone number (if provided in your order details).
• Your shipping/billing address (as stated in your payment or provided by you).
• Your measurements (for custom-made items).

Use and disclosure of data:  Steel Mastery does not disclose client data to third parties except when required by law, or when necessary to process and complete your order.

Financial information:  Steel Mastery does not store or process your financial information directly. Payment details are handled exclusively by certified payment providers (currently PayPal) and are secured in accordance with their internal security policies.
