All models of such medieval headwear as hood had similar features: wide and deep hood and pelerine, which was covering shoulders. Some hoods could have tail – length varied and depended on the wealth of wearer (the more rich a man was, the longer tail his hood had). If a tail was extra-long, so it could be stuck in the belt.
