Triangle shield or heater shield is a type of medieval knight shield, which was widespread in the XII-XV centuries among European warriors.
This defense was evolved from kite shield. Usually, heater shield were made of playwood, covered with fabric or leather and trimmed with metal or leather. However, quite often there were models made of steel.
Heater shield was very popular because of its easy design and inexpensive manufacture. In addition, such shield were lightweight and defended significant part of warrior’s body.
You may see it on the numerous miniatures, effigies and other medieval pieces of art.

This handcrafted shield is made of plywood (that makes it lighter, than a one made of wood).
Durable leather straps provide easy elbow grip. The shield is fastened along its perimeter with steel stripe. By default, sizes of shield are 45*60 cm (18*24 inches), but we offer other dimensions for your medieval knight defense.

Stock items may be returned within 14 days if unused. Return shipping is covered by the customer; refunds apply to item price only. Custom-made items are non-refundable unless there is a manufacturing defect or our mistake, in such cases we will remake or refund at our expense. Lost parcels are covered — we will investigate and resend if needed.
By default, all orders are shipped via Ukrainian National Post or Nova Poshta, at the sole discretion of Steel Mastery. The carrier delivers the parcel to your local postal service or pickup point. Tracking details are provided after dispatch. Express courier services (such as DHL, etc.) are available only upon request via email and are subject to additional cost and confirmation.
Custom-made items require production time before shipment. Estimated production time:
- Leather accessories – 2–4 weeks;
- Clothes – 2–8 weeks;
- Gambeson and padded armor – 8–12 weeks;
- Brigandines – 1–3 months;
- Metal armor – 2–7 months.
