Steel gorget for SCA and fencing on the thick leather base – is a simple as well as reliable element of your reenactment clothing.
Materials used:
- Stainless steel – 1 mm
- Crazy horse black leather – 2 mm
- Brass rivets
The combination of a stunning, durable, strong steel и top grade thick but soft leather guarantees you a magnificent neck protection even in your hottest and sharpest fights.
Our blacksmiths have forged this SCA gorget of 1,0 mm thick stainless steel and used 2,0mm thick Crazy horse leather for the pad. Steel and leather are pieced together with the best brass rivets. On either side of the SCA rapier gorget there are built-in firm and endurable leather braces and steel buckles.
Base price plate gorget includes:
- Stainless steel – 1 mm

Looking at the gorget, you might notice a “tongue” (reed) of the collar, specially made for the suprasternal notch protection. On the top edge of the SCA fencing gorget our craftsmen enfold the leather corners to additionally mitigate and lighten the enemy’s hits and strokes while protecting your from the steel gorget’s edge. It’s all about your safety!
This medieval steel gorget is a natural must-have for either the full contact SCA training fights and brutal or fierce SCA tournament combats. However, nothing should stop you from using it at the fantasy, cosplay, fencing and LARP events.

The thickness of leather and additional pad is not a problem. Moreover, with our additional features you have an opportunity to choose decorated buckles, any leather colour, and any type of the final metal treatment.

If you don’t like the received product for any reason, you may send it back to us within 14 days. If the received item has defects or does not fit your parameters, we will make a new item and send it to you at our costs. If postal service lost your parcel, we make a search of it. If parcel could not be found, we make new item at our expenses.
We ship orders via National Postal Service, who carries order to your local post office. Upon shipping, we provide you with tracking number of parcel. If you need express delivery (DHL, TNT, etc.), please contact us.
Every product is handcrafted and requires time for manufacture. Approximate time:
- Gambeson and padded armor – 8-9 weeks;
- Costumes and other clothing – 4-6 weeks;
- Brigandines – 3-4 months;
- Leather accessories 2-4 weeks;
- Metal armor – 2-5 months.
