Hennin is the most popular women’s Burgundian headwear of the XV century. It has shape of cone (often, truncated cone), and was made of strong fabric or on frame of whalebone. Base was covered with expensive fabrics and decorated with gems. Silk or batist veil was fixed over it.
These models are typical for medeival Burgundia. Base is made of felt and covered with wool. Light veil is draped on the frame of two ribs or can be pinned to the base. Velvet headwear is available for order at options.
Hennin is essential part of women’s Burgundian outfit of the XV century. We offer you two models of dress of this historical period, to any of which this headwear will be a great addition.
When ordering, please advise us via e-mail at [email protected], if you want hennin with or without ribs.
