Description

Chaperon was the most popular medieval headwear in the XV century. Primarily, there was a hood with pelerine, which had fastening from the front. But in time, it had been transformed to some model of turban, decorated with festoons of different shape. Chaperons came into fashion in Burgundia in the early XV century and soon after it embraced all Medieval Europe.

This model of medieval chaperon is made of wool of different colour with lining of cotton or linen. Base price includes simple chaperon without festoons. If you wish to decorate your headwear with oak leaves, as on the photos, for example, or with festoons of another form, please choose it in the options and send the wished pattern to us at sales@steel-mastery.com

Chaperon is fundamental part of the Burgundian men’s costume of the XV century.
