description

A true Burgundian dandy can't do without such stylish XVth century chips in his closet as a short doublet, closed chausses with a codpiece and a chaperon. So especially for fashionable men who are serious about reconstruction, we have prepared a practical and stylish costume set that will be the basis of any XVth century Burgundian men's costume.

Burgundian men's suit includes

  1. doublet
  2. chausses
  3. chaperon

Let's start with the Burgundian doublet, XVth century. This is an indispensable element of the costume of any self-respecting Burgundian man in the XVth century. Tight fit over the body, lush bouffant sleeves, sexy chest slit and stylish lacing on the chest and wrists. A small stand-up collar and laces for tying up the chausses to the doublets' hem. Everything about it is laconic and stylish.

Don't forget to gird your new doublet by belt with Gothic patterns and hang a kidney style bag on it, which is a must have for a decent 15th century man.

On the feet of our dandy you may see tight chausses with codpiece, XV century, which recently became fashionable in Europe. They are sewn on the back and the codpiece, folded down, is attached to the waist with 3 laces. It's a very comfortable and at the same time quite historical model of chausses, which you will undoubtedly appreciate.

As shoes we can offer you stylish and cool high boots with buckles or not so historical but so damn popular among our clients poulaine medieval style boots. We suppose to clarify that we can sew both pairs in leather of any color from our rich palette.

And finally on the handsome man's head is a stylish Burgundy chaperon of the XV century. And, gosh, it's absolutely gorgeous! A thick roll around his head, a lush pelerine and a long tail. We strongly advise you to order the custom wool model with carved festoons, hand-sewn edge and a contrasting lining, it looks absolutely chic and worth its price.

By the way, don't forget about the fashionable replacement for the chaperon if you suddenly want to wear something a bit light and summery - the Tyrolean hat with a dendy curly edge that was quite popular in those days.

And we're sure you already have the right medieval underwear to wear under that costume. If you don't, we recommend you not to waste your time looking, and order a ready-made set of medieval men's underwear, which consists of braies, chemise and cale and will be suitable for any medieval men's costume of XIV-XVI centuries.

Base price of men's suit includes following options:

  • Color – red
  • Fabric – cotton
  • DIY – no
  • Lining – cotton for doublet, absent – for chausses
  • Decoration (for the chaperon) – no
