Helmet Bascinet of the XIV century was popular among medieval warriors all over Europe. Such head armor had various design with one main feature – they proved with perfect protection during the battle.
This functional steel bascinet has bar grill visor, which is attached to the dome of helmet with two side hinges. Distance between rods is 1.8-2.0 mm, that is totally compliant to SCA-standards. For additional protection of neck, throat and shoulders, we recommend to use this medieval helm with mail aventail.
Helm bascinet is completely handcrafted by parameters of customer.

Stock items may be returned within 14 days if unused. Return shipping is covered by the customer; refunds apply to item price only. Custom-made items are non-refundable unless there is a manufacturing defect or our mistake, in such cases we will remake or refund at our expense. Lost parcels are covered — we will investigate and resend if needed.
By default, all orders are shipped via Ukrainian National Post or Nova Poshta, at the sole discretion of Steel Mastery. The carrier delivers the parcel to your local postal service or pickup point. Tracking details are provided after dispatch. Express courier services (such as DHL, etc.) are available only upon request via email and are subject to additional cost and confirmation.
Custom-made items require production time before shipment. Estimated production time:
- Leather accessories – 2–4 weeks;
- Clothes – 2–8 weeks;
- Gambeson and padded armor – 8–12 weeks;
- Brigandines – 1–3 months;
- Metal armor – 2–7 months.
