description

Medieval helmet armet takes its origin in XV century, being designed - as presumed - in Italy. It was distinguished by being the first helmet of this time to protect completely the head, compact and light enough to be carried one. Movable hinged cheek pieces and gorget plate opened backward show the face.

Eye slits and holes on the visor allow a knight to see and breath freely. There are also holes on the sides on ears’ level. Plate bevor (gorget) protects neck and throat.

This made-to-measure Middle Ages helmet is completely handcrafted by our artisans.

If you want to make some changes in this item or to complete it with other elements (visors), our craftsmen are always at your service. You can always choose the elements of the armour yourself, or consult our experts.

You can use this medieval knight helmet for:

  • SCA
  • HEMA
  • Larp
  • Stage performances
  • Medieval festivals
  • Reenactment events

Base price includes following options:

  • Cold-rolled steel 1.5 mm;
  • Satin polishing;
  • Black leather belts;
  • Steel nickel-plated buckles;
  • Steel rivets;
  • No decoration

This helm has three protective movable parts - helm has upper and lower visors and gorget plate, which is historically correct.

I ordered this armet of stainless steel and with extra breath holes on the left cheek. Special thanks for sewn cotton liner (don't have to do it by myself, lol). Perfect fit and workmanship, thanks to all Steel Mastery team!
