Milanese cuirass of the 1460 year is a classical model of Italian plate armor. This model of medieval armor is based on the painting “Brera Madonna” by Piero della Francesca.
Brera Madonna, 1472 year
Classical Milan-style cuirass combines features, typical for body defense of those times:
- Roundish breast and back plates, joining together with leather belts;
- Plackart, connected to the upper plates;
- Movable skirt of four horizontal segment, connected together with rivets;
- Tassets, attached to the lower part of skirt;
- Culet – plate for buttocks protection;
- Lance rest on the right side of cuirass.
Such cuirass was usually worn together with different-sized Milanese pauldrons.

Stock items may be returned within 14 days if unused. Return shipping is covered by the customer; refunds apply to item price only. Custom-made items are non-refundable unless there is a manufacturing defect or our mistake, in such cases we will remake or refund at our expense. Lost parcels are covered — we will investigate and resend if needed.
By default, all orders are shipped via Ukrainian National Post or Nova Poshta, at the sole discretion of Steel Mastery. The carrier delivers the parcel to your local postal service or pickup point. Tracking details are provided after dispatch. Express courier services (such as DHL, etc.) are available only upon request via email and are subject to additional cost and confirmation.
Custom-made items require production time before shipment. Estimated production time:
- Leather accessories – 2–4 weeks;
- Clothes – 2–8 weeks;
- Gambeson and padded armor – 8–12 weeks;
- Brigandines – 1–3 months;
- Metal armor – 2–7 months.
