Mail Cape (Bishop’s Mantle)
A common chainmail protection for the neck and shoulders in Central Europe in the second half of the 16th century.
The mail cape, also known as a bishop's mantle, was typically worn by Landsknecht soldiers, infantrymen and riders of cavalry.
Sometimes it was decorated with rows of rings made of copper and brass alloy or was fully gold-plated.
Cape by Steel Mastery is made from mild steel rings and has 2 brass decorative straps on the mail edge.
Collar is made 6 in 1 rings. Cape 4 in 1 rings.
