Description

Cale is a tight-fitting head padded cap.

In the Middle Ages it was male and female cap of the bonnet type.

When going outside many different headgear were worn upon the cale: bonnet, chaperone and others. Knights and warriors often used this padded cap as helmet lining.

Balaclava (helmet lining) is necessary and inexpensive accessory that solves a lot of problems, starting from keeping the hair and head clean and up to reducing the frequency of cleaning the inside part of the helmet.

And the wearing of helmet becomes much more convenient, because the liner keeps the head from direct contact with metal, giving you warm and comfort.

This model of the padded cap has thickness 2-2.5 cm and can be made according to your individual needs and just for your measurements, from natural fabrics (cotton or linen) of different colours that vary from white or natural to black or bright red.

CUSTOM MADE

Here is one of the authentic samples of brigandine, that was recreated based on the materials of excavation of the Battle of Visby (1361).
