This item is a custom-made, which means that our crafters use individual body measurements of a client for manufacture. Such type of manufacturing provides with a perfect fit of an item.

Medieval helmet had never been used independently - only with additional mail or padded protection of the head, face, neck and shoulders.
Usually, helmet was combined with padded aventail, that is an addition to the Bascinet or Barbute type helmet. It perfectly protects the shoulders and neck, and its high front padded part covers your chin. It is very important while using Bascinet with or without visor.
This padded aventail is made of cotton and has cotton lining. Yu can choose other fabrics in options.
The lacing on the back side fixes the aventail in a good way.
You can use this type of padded aventail together with mail aventail.
We use only natural fabric for manufacturing of medieval padded aventail. Different colours are available for order.
Stock items may be returned within 14 days if unused. Return shipping is covered by the customer; refunds apply to item price only. Custom-made items are non-refundable unless there is a manufacturing defect or our mistake, in such cases we will remake or refund at our expense. Lost parcels are covered — we will investigate and resend if needed.
By default, all orders are shipped via Ukrainian National Post or Nova Poshta, at the sole discretion of Steel Mastery. The carrier delivers the parcel to your local postal service or pickup point. Tracking details are provided after dispatch. Express courier services (such as DHL, etc.) are available only upon request via email and are subject to additional cost and confirmation.
Custom-made items require production time before shipment. Estimated production time:
- Leather accessories – 2–4 weeks;
- Clothes – 2–8 weeks;
- Gambeson and padded armor – 8–12 weeks;
- Brigandines – 1–3 months;
- Metal armor – 2–7 months.
