The Teutonic Grand Master Surcoat (Tabard) is a historical garment inspired by the attire of the Hochmeister, the supreme leader of the Teutonic Order. Crafted from premium white fabric, it is decorated with a golden cross laid over a black cross. At the center stands the heraldic eagle on a golden shield, a symbol rooted in the Order’s medieval heraldry and its ties to the Holy Roman Empire.
This surcoat can be tailored in either linen or cotton, offering both authenticity and comfort. You may choose the length (knee‑length or longer), optionally add sleeves, and select their preferred side fastening: stitched closed, fabric ties, or buttons. These customization options make it perfectly suitable for reenactment, LARP, medieval festivals, or historical collections.
Base options include:
Standard length: 115 cm
Two slits (front and back): 45 cm each
Central emblem size: 15 × 13.5 cm
Sides sewn closed (without ties or buttons by default)
Matching Gear: A matching Teutonic Helmet Torse is available in our shop.
