The only difference is that Caspar Rieder forged his sallet from a single piece of metal while we welded two parts of the dome together. Half-greaves of the XIV-XVI centuries are the popular shin guard among medieval soldiers – as mounted, so dismounted. In combination with cuisses (thigh armor) and kneecaps, these greaves created full leg defense, comfortable and good protecting at the same time. These plate greaves protect the front part of calf, though backside is left uncovered. Leather belts with steel or brass buckles keep armor reliably on the leg. Steel 1.5 mm Ankle circumference 41-45 cm Сalf circumference 49 - 58 cm

When a knight has almost assembled his full real medieval armor, which will protect in mounted and dismounted battle, only one small detail for completed protection is left – sabatons. These medieval armor boots are forgotten quite often, and it’s a loss. As a fighter’s feet may be plainly injured even in the hardest plate body armor. That’s it, a famous knight could lose the fight so simply and absurdly, if he forgets to wear sabatons. Total length is 29 cm ( 11 inch) Fit to size 42 - 43 Cold-rolled steel 1.5 mm Satin polishing as finish treatment; Steel rivets; Steel buckles; Brown leather.
