How to Get Away with Medieval Clothing Murder

Medieval times clothing is a clothing, but of the medieval times:)

So, we will not unveil you any sacral knowledges, but will remind some basic rules, as it will be so pity to “murder” your new cool medieval costume.

Firstly, you have to know that we use only natural fabrics, such as linen, wool, silk, velvet, cotton for sewing of our authentic medieval costumes. Each of them requires special handling and has own rules of washing, drying and ironing, while meeting of which your medieval clothing will live and serve you long time.

Let’s begin with cotton and linen items. Wash them in washing machine or by hands at temperature 30°-40°С. Colored items should be washed with washing powder for colored products, white one – with multipurpose washing powder or detergent for white goods. But! Never! Do not use bleacher! To soften these fabrics, we recommend to use fabric conditioner. Iron these goods at temperature mode *** (160°-200°).

Wool may be washed by hand or in machine at temperature 30°-50°, at laundry mode “Delicate wash” without extraction and drying. You may add some conditioner for wool. But, without bleacher! Seriously, guys, bleacher is an evil, keep your clothing of medieval times away it. Do not wring wool. Iron it at mode ** (100°-130°).

Noble silk should be washed strictly by hands. Do not believe your washing machine, when it will be assuring you that it has special mode “silk”. It lies, mean device. Water temperature shouldn’t be higher than 30°. Use special detergent for washing of delicate fabrics. Should we talk about bleacher? Or you got an idea?:) Iron it at mode ** (100°-130°) on the inner side through the dry cotton cloth.

Velvet can be washed by hands or in machine at temperature 30° at mode “Delicate wash” without extraction and drying. Before washing, do not forget to turn item inside out. A bleacher… Well, you know. Do not wring velvet and iron it at minimum temperature through the dry cotton cloth.

Follow these rules and keep your medieval clothing materials as good as new.
