HEMA gambeson with lapped sleeves

Then meet the first quilted doublet with overlapping sleeves. Complete mobility of the arms in the shoulders and, at the same time, an exceptionally high level of safety. 

Just appreciate how cool this gambeson is. It has no armpit hole where an opponent's blade can get caught, which is fraught with injury. At the same time in this quilted armor you can move your shoulders any way you want, bring your arms together in front, raise them completely above your head - the cut and extensibility of the lacing gives you the freedom to do it. But with any movement the underarm of the gambeson is closed on you. 

Note an interesting feature of this quilted doublet lacing - the lacing holes on the armhole and sleeve are not on top of each other, but offset.

This option provides extra comfort, as the lacing doesn't put pressure on your shoulders. And most importantly - it is one more line of defense of your quilted armor - even if during a stabbing the blade hits the lacing hole (yes, it is rather unlikely, because the hole is small and there is a cord in it, but we really care about your safety), another layer of gambeson will stand in its way. 

Thanks to the anatomic cut gambeson sits nicely on the figure, and one-piece collar with an overlap in the front - protects the throat. It is quite historical and the seams will not put pressure on your throat.

This quilted armor is designed and sewn specifically for fencing, both historical fencing and HEMA.

It is also a two-in-one model. You can lace up the sleeves at any time and use the gambeson as a nice comfortable sleeveless jacket. Well, the contrasting color of the sleeves adds a kind of brutal glamour to this quilted protection.

Traditionally you can choose the colors and materials of the top and lining, the number of padding layers, the color of the cord and the type of fasteners. Although we think that the "native" historical leather laces on the chest look very cool and do not need to be replaced at all.
