Bascinet is a part of KNIGHT PLATE ARMOR OF XIV CENTURY, which is overall image of Western European armor in last third of XIV century. This is the functional armor of the foot-knight, not artsy-craftsy but exceptionally reliable.

Nevertheless, be sure – it is good enough to be an independent helmet. Based at bascinet found at Fortress Aldobrandesca (Piancastagnaio, Siena) and dating 1350-1380 it suits to most medieval knight armors of that period.

Bascinet helmet is a must-have for fighters, who take part not only in SCA, HEMA, reenactment events and medieval festivals, but also for LARP events or stage performances.
