You've been waiting for a long time, and we’ve finally made it – a Renaissance doublet with a jacquard cover. The luxurious little brother of Renaissance doublet (quilted).

Like its humble older brother, jacquard Renaissance doublet – also named farsetto – was a trendy men’s doublet clothing of the mid-XV century. It was popular from North to South Europe – equally among civilians as well as the military.

Stylish triangle-shaped silhouette with wide shoulders and thin waistline was a fashion trend of those times. In this jacquard, it was achieved by farsetto tightly fitting the body and chic puffs on sleeves’ upper parts.

The silhouette could vary from region to region: the further north a fashionista lived – the shorter and splendid puffs there were and fewer fastenings the doublet had.

Doublet’s torso part is decorated with vertical stitching and puffs – with diamond-shaped stitching.
