A medieval image of ideal beauty and femininity worthy of admiration and worship. Pre-Raphaelite canvases depict women without crinolines but with fluttering hair... extraordinary, like a fever dream in which magnificent and fantastical images slowly move.
This art trend gave rise to distinctive costumes in which it is as if medieval Gothic blended with the 16th century creating sophisticated images of how the Middle Ages were seen in the 19th century.
We simply couldn't resist making such a dress. A graceful silhouette, flowing velvet shyly peeking through flowing silk. The perfect dress for Ophelia and Medea, for Isolde and Proserpine.
