Handcrafted Eastern arm defense is a stylization of vambraces, which were popular among Asian, Rus’ and Middle Eastern warriors in the XIII century.

Quite often, gap between two halves of bracers was filled with mail sheet. This model has a hinge for closing and leather belt and buckle for keeping this medieval armor on the arm.

Bracers are long enough to cover the elbow, so caps for joint protection are not required.

These plate forearm defense is similar to another Asian type protection – forearms “The Boat”, which were found in Sakhnovka, Ukraine and dated by the XIII century.
