Medieval cale - new photos! -0001-11-30

Cale has a simple design: there is a cap made of two fabric halves with long lacings for fastening it under the chin. Rich people had some headwears made of expensive silk, common people and peasants wore cale made of linen or cotton.

Cale was a kind of underwear, so it was usually worn under such headwears as medieval hood or chaperon. However, sometimes people were wearing it separately.

We offer you handmade cale of these natural fabrics in white and natural colors.

In category “Men’s underwear”, you may see undershirts and pants, which will complete your undergarment.
