description

In medieval times, jester (or fool) was a person at court, who had to entertain the royal family, their guests, noblemen.

"Keying Up" – The Court Jester by William Merritt Chase 1875. (Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.)

Today, the jester is portrayed in different formats of medieval reenactment, Renaissance fairs, including stage performance, carnivals.

Cloths of bright colours and eccentric hats were the most distinctive feature of jesters.

Made-by-measure costume consists of these parts:

  • double-sided shirt – wool and linen;
  • two-coloured woolen chausses;
  • double-sided jester's cap (wool and linen) with horns and tails

Shirt and headwear are made of wool and linen. Shirt is reversible and may be worn with wool or linen part from the outside.

Chausses are made of wool. They can be fixed with leather or fabric laces under the knee.

Tinky bells are sewn on the edges of shirt sleeves and tails of cap.

Please choose required size in options and send us the wished colour combination to sales@steel-mastery.com
