Plate cuirass with tassets, a part of the jousting knight armor, XVI century

Full-plate roundish cuirass is a part of the tournament jousting knight armor of the XVI century.

Late medieval slim-waisted cuirass consists of breastplate with gorget and removable tassets for thighs’ protection. Body protection has segmented skirt of two horizontal movable plates.

There is a lance rest on the right side of the cuirass. It is a main feature of the tournament armor of the XVI century.

Segmented tassets are fastened to the front bottom edge of cuirass with leather belts and buckles.

Made-to-measure Middle Ages cuirass is completely handcrafted by individual parameters of customer.
