It was rather thin and tight. Often, the skirt had been sewn to the upper part of medieval doublet separately.. The special feature of padded doublet is a quantity of buttons on the sleeves and bosom. Soldiers, crossbowmen and halberdiers were using buttons covered with fabric, or wooden, or bone. This doublet has fastenings fir steel arms.
