Being made of thick black mat leather, these plates reproduces Viking lamellar Visby plates, type I, which had been excavated on the far cold Gotland. However, historians have no doubts that such armor has been brought by the old sea dogs from the East. So, this comfortable type will be appropriate as for plaiting of the eastern armor, so for trophy Scandinavian one.
