Description

This costume is typical for a rich citizen, merchant or middle-aged knight and dependin on the fabrics and decoration, it symbolizes status, stability and wealth of its owner.

Often, the edges of Houppelande and the hood (Chaperone Hat) were fringe with fur or contrasting fabric; chest, hem and sleeves can be decorated with gold and silver embroidery, pearls and gems.

This costume consists of:

- woolen houppelande without lining

- woolen chaperon (headwear) with cotton lining

We recommend you Houppelande, made of wool with linen or cotton lining (the same is shown on the photo).
Different colours are available for order.

CUSTOM MADE ?

Here is one of the authentic samples of brigandine, that was recreated based on the materials of excavation of the Battle of Visby (1361).
This armour is perfect for medieval tournaments and battles.
